Cotton candy, corn dogs and the famous racing pigs return to The Meadow Event Park in Doswell for the State Fair of Virginia, Sept. 25 through Oct. 4. This year’s theme is “Best of Show.”
In observance of the country’s 250th birthday, the VA250 “Give Me Liberty” exhibition will be on view in Meadow Hall all 10 days, and the Freedom 250 Mobile Museum will be accessible Sept. 30 through Oct. 4.
“The beauty is that there is something for everyone at the State Fair of Virginia. And many people consider the fair a beloved family tradition, with multiple generations attending the fair together,” spokesperson Kathy Dixon says. “Our time-honored traditions include livestock and equine shows, scholarship competitions, arts and culinary contests, fair food, rides, and entertainment.”
Tickets for admission and rides vary, with passes available.
