The 25th year of the Southern Women’s Show features Rayvon Owen performing on Friday, April 15, at 5 p.m.
Owen, a Richmond-area native who made it to the final four on “American Idol,” recently released a new single and music video, “Can’t Fight It,” which also served as a vehicle for him to come out as gay. In an interview, Owen says he was apprehensive but adds, “I’m glad that something like me coming out or other people sharing their stories could potentially help people.”
Throughout the weekend, there will be performances, demonstrations, talks and about 300 vendors offering everything from trendy jewelry to the latest fashions.
