After the July 7 performance of the Richmond Symphony’s Summer Series — featuring guest cellist and University of Richmond President Ronald Crutcher along with guest pianist and fellow UR faculty member Joanne Kong — sold out the first day tickets went on sale, the symphony added a second performance on July 6.
The 2016 series continues through Aug. 11, focusing on the works of Rachmaninoff and other Russian composers, including Prokofiev, Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky.
