Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull comes to The National on Oct. 5 to raise money and awareness for veterans who have been hurt by Improvised Explosive Devices (or IEDs) during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The vocalist, guitarist and flute player will perform some of the classic rock band’s biggest hits — “Aqualung,” “Bungle in the Jungle” and more. The 7:30 p.m. event also will include a pre-show VIP reception and a post-show meet and greet with Anderson. Tickets range from $35 to $125. The evening before, Max’s Positive Vibe Café will host Dinner in the Dark ($100 for two people), a meal served without lights, to honor blind veterans. campaignagainstieds.org/Tull or thenationalva.com
