Held on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the “Voices of Survival” concert at Richmond CenterStage’s Carpenter Theatre commemorates the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, featuring works by composers who were inmates in Nazi concentration camps. Music performed by the Richmond Symphony will be accompanied by video interviews with Holocaust survivors including Bud Brodecki (pictured above), whose prison camp tattoo is visible. University choruses throughout Virginia have been invited to provide singers to participate in the concert. The event came about through a partnership between the Weinstein JCC, the Richmond Symphony and the Virginia Holocaust Museum. 7 p.m. $20 to $75. 592-3400 or richmondcenterstage.com.
