It’s not quite Eddie Murphy’s leather suit, but digging up Chris Tucker’s earliest appearances on “Def Comedy Jam” find the actor/comedian wearing a pretty swank black leather vest.
Granted, the standup’s tux in 2015’s “Chris Tucker Live” Netflix special might be a bit classier. But regardless of attire, Tucker’s still capable of ruminating on a spate of topics that audiences have found amusing for more than 20 years.
The pay-off for those “Rush Hour” films might have distanced him from his audience; not many can roll with a set-up about buying adjacent homes. But enough blue-hued punch lines about relationships are bound to land. Altria Theater. June 24 at 8 p.m. $47 to $77. 800-514-3849 or altriatheater.com.
