The 115th Chesterfield County Fair celebrates America’s 250th birthday with festive decorations spread throughout the grounds. Fairgoers can expect the traditional food staples, pig races, craft exhibitions, circus and musical performances, and the fair’s own “Chesterfield Cheers” beer garden, plus a brand-new Frisbee dog show provided by Disc Connected K9’s.
Fair General Manager Brenda White Vaughn says a favorite attraction is the Ferris wheel. “At nighttime, you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of how gorgeous it looks with all the different colored lights on, especially with the red, white and blue we have this year, and be able to absorb all the fair’s activity,” she says.
The Aug. 28-Sept. 5 event at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds runs from 5 to 11 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends (and on Friday, Sept. 4).
Tickets are $6 to $12.
