Rebirth Brass
Funk, jazz, soul and hip-hop tunes will put a twist on traditional brass sounds at the inaugural All Brass Kick-Off Bash on the University of Richmond’s Westhampton Green. The 2014-2015 Modlin Center for the Arts season opener on Sept. 7 features Richmond-based No BS! Brass Band, the Balkan-influenced Slavic Soul Party from New York City, Southeast Asian brass by Red Baraat, and Rebirth Brass, a Grammy-winning band featured on the HBO series Treme.
