Summer starts in 30 days, but Memorial Day is the unofficial kick-off. Is your deck, porch or patio ready for the outdoor festivities that will start on Monday?
New pillows can amp up those areas quickly, and all-weather luxury designs by Elaine Smith won’t disappoint. Smith’s pillows are made with high-end stain, fade and water resistant fabrics and many have hand-finished details. The company’s tagline is “Inconceivably Outdoors,” and I have to agree.
I blogged about Elaine Smith pillows last August when I stumbled upon them at Janet Brown Interiors. I was smitten then and I’m smitten now, this time with her “Aruba Block” design (pictured). I found it at Williamsburg Wicker & Patio.
The pillow measures an 22-by-22 inches and is $129. It’s in-stock at the store, along with other coordinating designs and colors. Take note: The shop ships these pillows for free.
It’s worth a trip to Williamsburg to see everything, though, including all the furniture. With classic-to-modern patio lines by Lloyd Flanders, Lane Venture, Ebel and more, the shop carries everything from aluminum and teak to wicker and rattan.
You’ll find indoor furniture there as well, including beds, tables and chairs by Braxton Culler, whose “Cimmoran” dining line with caramel bleached woods is really good-looking.
Williamsburg Wicker & Patio, 7422 Richmond Road in Williamsburg, is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
